I suppose I should tell you a little about myself...
My name is Daniel Peifer. I'm a 23 year-old linguistics student at Colorado State University. I am unlikely to be found among silence at any moment of the day or night. When I'm in the classroom, I'm studying language phonology. When I sleep, podcasts keep me company. Walking or driving, there is always music in my ear.
But when I find myself at home, free and clear to do whatever I so please, my focus turns to keyboards.
When I'm not reading synthesizer instruction manuals or the latest news on big-name keyboard releases, I'm diving deep into the capabilities of my own instruments. I have a long-standing obsession with sound; a phonophilia of sorts. Acoustic or electric, analog or digital, solo or multi-layered, consonant or dissonant - I want to hear it.
And when I hear it, I like to talk about it.
That's where this blog comes in. I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for stopping by,
Daniel
